Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Feature and Follow Friday! It’s been a few weeks since I joined in.  Find followers, make friends, and learn about some great new books! This week’s features are Kathryn’s Inbox and Megz Madd Readz. Follow these rules by Parajunkee!

  • (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
  • (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
  • If you’re new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

This week’s question:

Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like — oops?

My answer:

My lack of networking abilities/effort, and my lack of a unique design. I don’t understand anything about internet languages, so I’d have to get someone else to design my page for me, but I can’t afford to pay anyone to do it. I’m stuck in WordPress-theme limbo. Sigh.

  1. I can really sympathize with this one! I just pick up blogger freebies and give credit – simple HTML is fine, anything else is just not happening!
    Here’s my FF :)

  2. That was certainly my own issues when I started out but as you blog the more you pick up how best to promote. Personally Twitter is a fantastic tool for networking. When in doubt look to other popular blogs for reference to see how they are doing things. As for your layout design there are some bloggers who offer free layout customization you just have to look :) Best of luck!

    Happy Friday!!

  3. OMG, that is my favorite color, as you can tell by my blog; it looks so pretty, don’t change it. As for html languages, I didn’t know that either but I learned a lot from google and that heps when you want to redesign little things here and there.
    New RSS Follower!
Thanks for stopping by My FF

  4. I know what you mean. I didn’t know any HTML when I started, and I know some now, but very little. Every time I learn something, I think I’m the bees knees, but really I’m an infant in the internet language world. It does come eventually, though. Just slowly. Keep at it! Happy Friday!
My FF is at Musings on Fantasia.
