Feature & Follow #8

Feature & Follow #8

9 Flares Filament.io 9 Flares ×

Before I begin, let me just apologize for being so incredibly out of it lately.  There has been A LOT going on! I started working from home last week, and trying to cram things in to get my work done before the deadline (I’m leaving for Chicago next Thursday and I want to have my current assignment done before then), plus getting into yoga and trying to work out and get fit every day has got me pressed for time. I’ve been sadly neglecting my books, and I think they’re starting to miss me. I’m missing them too!

Now, welcome to Feature & Follow Friday! This meme is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  This week’s featured blogs are Book Liaison and Angela’s Anxious Life.

If you want to participate, you have to follow the rules!

  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
  • If you’re new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

This Week’s Question:

What do you hope to accomplish with your blog? Is it to one day become an author yourself, just for fun, maybe get some online attention, or maybe something very different?

My Answer:

I started my blog just so I could provide an archive for my friends who were constantly asking me what they should read next.  If they ever ask I tell them to look through the archive and see if anything sounds interesting. It’s why I try to read a variety of things, though a lot of times I still learn toward the genres I prefer.  I never intended for it to get public attention, but that’s been fun too. The book blogging community is a lot of fun, and I’m really glad to see that there are a ton of people out there who have the same passion that I do.
